Creating Respectful and Safe Spaces Together

At ECMC 2026, we believe that everyone deserves to be part of a community where they feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves.

Unfortunately, discrimination and violations of personal boundaries still happen far too often - both in daily life and at events like ours. That’s why we are dedicated to ensuring that this event fosters an environment where respect and inclusivity are not just goals, but lived realities. We want every participant to feel empowered to express themselves while honoring the rights and boundaries of others.

We will provide:

  • A dedicated awareness team

  • A confidential emergency phone number

  • A saferspace / retreat area for rest, support, or recovery.

We also ask you –our community– to be mindful, present, and take collective responsibility. Pay attention to those around you. Look out for one another.

What We Stand Against:

We reserve the right to remove anyone who:

  • Refuses to treat others with respectMakes discriminatory remarks or threats.

  • Acts in a way that violates the values of the ECMC community.

Not tolerated:

  • Malicious comments or behavior based on gender, sexual orientation, identity, age, ethnic origin, race, or religion

  • Sexist,racist,or hate-fueled speech

  • Degrading remarks about appearance or ability

  • Sharing personal information without consent

Any actions that violate the boundaries of others.

Our Collective Awareness

While we wish we could guarantee that ECMC 2026 will be a completely safe space, we know that in today’s social and economic context, no space is entirely free from harm.

We all carry different lived experiences, levels of privilege, and positions of power. These differences shape how we move through the world - and through this event.

So before entering a space, engaging with others, or taking action: Pause. Reflect.
Consider your own privilege, your assumptions, and your impact.

Equity Is a Shared Struggle:

Gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religion, disability, and social background are not just personal attributes—they are tied to systemic inequities.
We must all be part of the work to change that.
Let’s hold each other with care, respect, and accountability.

Together,
we ride,
Together, we create safer spaces!
NO SEXISM
NO RACISM
NO ABLEISM
BEFORE
TAKING ACTION:
PAUSE & REFLECT!
