Welcome to the European Cycle Messenger Championships (ECMC) 2026! We’re honoured to be picking up the baton 30 years after the very first European Championship in Hamburg in 1996, to host, entertain and challenge you across the coming five days!

We’re here to race. We’ve secured the race course we dreamed of when we fi rst pitched this event: a famous kilometres-long former airport that’s iconic within Berlin. The main race and some side events, will take place on Tempelhofer Feld. But we’re also here for everything else that’s happening in the coming five days. To make sure you see Berlin, we’ve got city rides, some casual urban bicycle races, and multiple WTNB events. We’re going to knock our heads together in different workshops about our universal and individual lives - and then we’re carefully not going to knock our heads together for some bike jousting, hill sprints and track games.

There’s also a line-up of bands waiting to play, and we’ve got a special karaoke for your own lungs and legs. Maybe there’s time to squeeze in a dance or two.

To make this championship work, we need your help volunteering a shift here and there, too. Good at pouring a beer or peeling a potato? Of course you are. We’ve got a waste-based kitchen focused on wonky shaped vegetables that would love your help, a couple of beers need attention, or you can be a track marshal. And it all counts towards your weekend manifest.
